📋 Description

• Provide professional communications and editorial support to OPHDST program managers and staff for multimedia communication materials • Develop stakeholder engagement strategies supporting public health data modernization objectives • Create strategic communications plans covering stakeholders, audiences, channels, messaging, materials, timelines, and success metrics • Produce and disseminate internal and external communication materials • Support external communications with partners, state and local health departments, and academic institutions through materials, web updates, and other channels • Coordinate requirements gathering and development of knowledge management mechanisms and tools • Conduct stakeholder assessments and analyze program requirements • Provide communications consultation on strategy, planning, message development, promotion, and dissemination • Develop digital content strategy to enhance visibility across traditional and emerging platforms, including AI engines

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant health communications experience • Experience writing, developing, editing, and disseminating multimedia communication materials • Experience developing communication products such as brochures, presentations, trainings, Q&A documents, key messages, and reports • Federal government communications best practices experience preferred, including Section 508 compliance, Digital First, branding, logo requirements, and government standards • Prior experience working with public health agencies, CDC staff and partners, and state, tribal, local, or territorial health agency staff strongly desired • Ability to synthesize and distill information into key points and write in plain language • Experience creating strategic communications plans and monitoring and evaluating activities • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail • Ability to work on a multidisciplinary team and meet multiple tight deadlines • Excellent organizational skills, multitasking, and prioritization ability • Ability to obtain government clearance • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, advertising, public relations, English, public health, or a related field required • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer • May need to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
