📋 Description

• Secure and maintain legal rights of occupancy and use of real property and land, facility colocation, joint trenches, conduits and pole attachments for TDS facilities • Research permitting requirements and communicate with permit authorities • Attend meetings and perform occasional field work and travel • Scope and estimate work, create tasks, and obtain data and studies from professional service vendors • Prepare, negotiate, submit, expedite and secure permits and related fees ahead of construction • Update and close out records, GIS databases and maps • Maintain annual requirements, payments, bonds, insurance and reporting • Research local requirements and negotiate easements and right-of-entry agreements with private property owners • Obtain surveys and legal descriptions, prepare documents, secure signatures and notarization, ensure payment and public recording • Assist with lease negotiation, alerts, payments, W9 issues, location issues, ownership changes, records research, phone calls and document preparation • Assist with special projects, initiatives and operations including vendor and risk management, metrics, reports, scheduling, communications, research and customer service • Interface with internal teams and external contractors, customers, property owners, government permit authorities, utilities and railroads

🎯 Requirements

• Associate degree (or higher) –OR– 2+ years professional work experience • 3+ years experience in Voice, Data, or Video networking • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and insurance • Demonstrated experience in permitting • Technical knowledge of Real Estate Law, Land Surveying, Project Management, GIS, Telecommunications, Engineering, and Construction is desirable • Ability to quickly learn and comprehend complex work, assignments, project documents, standards, plans and maps • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, including scheduling, resourcing, tracking, reporting and closeout • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while meeting cost, time, quality and productivity expectations • Ability to build and maintain effective internal and external professional relationships • Microsoft Office software proficiency, including Outlook, Excel and Word • OneNote, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Access, Project, Clarity, Ariba, SAP and AutoCAD skills are a plus • ESRI GIS software, geodatabase maintenance, Python scripting, complex queries, tools and maps are desirable
