📋 Description

• Set the annual and multi-year strategy for new corporate revenue, including goals, target sectors, and prospect lists • Build and maintain business development infrastructure, KPIs, and workflow processes • Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and close new national corporate partners • Lead six- and seven-figure corporate partnership opportunities • Serve as strategist, relationship manager, and external representative to prospective corporate funders • Manage a portfolio of high-priority prospects through qualification to close • Transition newly closed partners to the Account Management sub-team • Collaborate with regional fundraising teams, national colleagues, board members, senior leaders, and program teams • Lead cross-functional project management and deliver partnership commitments • Explore and responsibly apply AI tools to prospect research, pipeline management, proposal development, and workflows • Manage, coach, and develop a direct report toward revenue goals • Build an equitable and inclusive Business Development sub-team culture • Track pipeline progress and revenue projections in Salesforce and other reporting tools • Prepare cultivation and solicitation meetings, pitch decks, partnership proposals, and donor-facing materials • Represent Teach For America at external convenings, industry events, and executive briefings • Participate in special projects and organization-level leadership and facilitation opportunities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required • Ability to build and manage a high-performing corporate business development function • Expertise in corporate philanthropy, corporate social responsibility, and/or corporate partnerships • Strong strategic thinking and ability to pursue high-value opportunities • Senior-level relationship management experience with C-suite executives and corporate foundation leaders • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including proposal writing, executive briefings, and pitch delivery • Rigorous project and pipeline management skills through long sales cycles • Strong people management skills and ability to develop direct reports • Deep commitment to Teach For America's mission, values, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusiveness • Proficiency in Microsoft Office • Salesforce experience required • Curiosity, fluency, critical thinking, and ethical grounding regarding emerging technologies, including AI tools • At least 7 years of fundraising, business development, or strategic partnerships experience with a strong track record of closing six- and seven-figure gifts or deals (preferred) • Prior management experience (preferred) • Education-sector or mission-driven nonprofit fundraising experience (preferred) • Experience with complex national organizations and matrixed local and central teams (preferred) • CFRE certification, MBA, or other advanced degree (preferred) • Ability to travel up to 3–4 times per quarter • Occasional evening and weekend work required • Best-in-class client service orientation and follow-through • Ability to be entrepreneurial and flexible in a fast-paced, results-oriented culture • Ability to influence outcomes without direct authority • Prior experience integrating AI tools into fundraising, sales, communications, research, or knowledge-management workflows
