📋 Description

• Address escalated tickets for complex operational issues in client networks • Maintain clients’ existing networks for stability and compliance • Address network issues and failures during normal operation • Communicate with clients daily regarding open-task status • Assist with data network design, development, and implementation projects • Work with professional services teams on projects • Follow established processes and Ascend quality standards • Develop client network documentation, including network diagrams • Work with vendors to resolve support cases • Assist with mentoring and training junior engineers • Participate in an on-call rotation for off-hours support • Provide operational support for switches, routers, wireless access points and controllers, and firewalls • Build, configure, and secure client network infrastructure

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 3 years Network Engineering experience, preferably at an MSP • Ability to communicate complex technical problems clearly to customers • Strong sense of urgency • Knowledge of VoIP technologies preferred • Experience with Fortinet, Cisco, Aruba, Palo Alto, and Ubiquiti network technologies • Experience with cloud networking concepts in Azure and AWS • Extensive knowledge of network protocols, services, and monitoring tools • Cisco CCNA and/or CCNP, or Fortinet FCP certification or equivalent working experience required • Ability to learn new technologies rapidly and continually • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related degree program preferred • Ability to sit, stand, and bend for the duration of the shift • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs • Occasional driving to work sites to meet with clients • Ability to work an on-call rotation for off-hours support
