📋 Description

• Lead the growth, operational health, delivery execution, workforce management, and people leadership of the AWS Platform Services customer execution team • Lead Platform Architects, engineers, consultants, and delivery leads delivering AWS transformation programs • Translate AWS practice strategy and growth targets into workforce, capability, delivery, and investment plans • Build a scalable operating model across AWS migration, modernization, cloud foundations, platform engineering, security, application modernization, data, AI, and managed cloud capabilities • Establish operating cadence for pipeline visibility, staffing, utilization, delivery health, capability development, and internal priorities • Own workforce allocation decisions and manage project demand, roll-offs, bench, skills availability, and capacity constraints • Create plans for benched team members covering placement, billable enablement, certifications, internal assignments, and skill development • Own portfolio operating health through delivery governance, project reviews, recovery actions, and follow-through • Monitor scope, schedule, quality, customer satisfaction, margin, utilization, and delivery risk • Partner with technical and delivery leaders on health checks, architecture assurance, strategic-program oversight, and red-project recovery • Provide direct people leadership, including goals, one-on-ones, performance reviews, coaching, feedback, recognition, and corrective action • Develop team leads and senior contributors and create career-development plans • Own certification planning and tracking • Lead hiring, onboarding, succession planning, retention, and performance calibration • Review SOWs, staffing models, effort assumptions, timelines, dependencies, delivery feasibility, and risk • Improve solution-to-delivery handoffs through documented assumptions, acceptance criteria, and early delivery-team engagement • Provide technical and practice leadership across AWS platform services • Promote the AWS Well-Architected Framework, security-by-design, infrastructure as code, automation, operational readiness, and cost-conscious architecture • Represent the practice in customer, partner, sales, and internal leadership discussions

🎯 Requirements

• Significant experience leading cloud consulting, professional services, or technology delivery organizations, including direct people-management accountability • Demonstrated experience managing AWS-focused teams delivering complex customer transformation programs • Strong architectural knowledge across broad AWS platform services • Proven success managing workforce allocation, utilization, bench, capacity planning, hiring, performance, and talent development in a consulting environment • Experience governing delivery portfolios and improving execution across scope, schedule, quality, financial performance, and customer outcomes • Experience reviewing or developing statements of work, delivery estimates, staffing models, assumptions, dependencies, and risk provisions • Ability to operate across technical, commercial, delivery, and people-leadership domains • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including communication of risks, priorities, and decisions to executives, customers, AWS, and delivery teams • AWS Associate level certifications; basic AWS certifications are a must-have • Worked in a technical role at some point in their career • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience (preferred) • AWS Certified Professional or comparable advanced AWS certification is preferred; additional AWS specialty or professional certifications are an asset • Experience with AWS partner programs, competencies, funding mechanisms, opportunity management, or co-sell motions is preferred • Experience building or scaling practices spanning cloud foundations, platform engineering, security, migration, application modernization, data, AI, and cloud operations is preferred • Experience leading distributed or geographically dispersed consulting teams is preferred • Experience working with enterprise or regulated-industry customers and complex multi-workstream programs is preferred
