📋 Description

• Lead end-to-end technical design and delivery for services supporting customer acquisition, onboarding/offboarding, and revenue operations • Define and evolve architectures for high-throughput, fault-tolerant metering and billing pipelines • Make tradeoffs across correctness, latency, cost, and operability • Partner with Finance, RevOps, and Sales to translate business needs into robust, scalable systems • Own account lifecycle flows from acquisition through activation, expansion, billing, suspension, dunning, and offboarding • Own integrations and pipelines reconciling control-plane state with CRM, support, analytics, and BI systems • Design customer-facing usage APIs, cost reporting, and billable-action metrics • Build and operate distributed data systems with strong correctness guarantees • Implement monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and runbooks for revenue-impacting pipelines • Set quality standards through code reviews, design reviews, and operational readiness • Introduce patterns and tooling to improve maintainability and incident response • Mentor engineers, unblock execution, and foster ownership and learning • Improve developer and customer experience through automation, tooling, and platform improvements

🎯 Requirements

• Significant experience designing and delivering production-grade backend systems, ideally in cloud environments • Strong proficiency in at least one systems/backend language; Go preferred • Ability to navigate large codebases and drive technical decisions • Experience building and operating distributed systems, including concurrency, reliability, scaling, consistency, and failure handling • Practical understanding of data pipelines and storage systems such as Postgres, Redshift, Kafka/Kinesis, and S3-like systems • Experience integrating and reconciling third-party SaaS platforms, including billing, CRM, support, and analytics systems • Knowledge of idempotency, drift detection, and recovery when upstream systems disagree with the source of truth • Experience with production operations, observability, incident response, performance tuning, on-call readiness, and continuous delivery • Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into clear, executable technical plans across Finance, RevOps, Sales, and Support • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including design documentation, stakeholder alignment, and explaining tradeoffs • Builder mindset and interest in simplifying complex workflows and improving tooling
