📋 Description

• Build and operate core infrastructure behind Temporal Cloud • Enable continuous regional failover and improve platform resilience through high availability and disaster recovery • Automate control plane operations to improve reliability and developer efficiency • Scale database systems while maintaining latency, reliability, and availability • Redesign the path from commit to production as deployment frequency and engineering headcount grow • Build reliable CI/CD pipelines for safer rollouts, faster iteration, and better test coverage • Evolve the multi-tenant control plane, reduce blast radius, improve namespace density, and strengthen developer experience • Collaborate with engineers and product managers on high-leverage infrastructure problems • Build customer-facing interfaces and integrations including APIs, CLI, Terraform provider, SDKs, and Kubernetes operator

🎯 Requirements

• Backend engineering experience with a cloud/infrastructure focus, ideally with some ops exposure • Experience on a control plane team for cloud-based microservices • Background building or operating multi-tenant SaaS applications • Familiarity with density-oriented cloud provider architectures • Strong PostgreSQL or similar relational database experience • Experience designing for high availability and managing compute and traffic at scale • Solid database expertise and ability to build tools rather than only configure them • CLI and DevOps fluency • Exposure to data pipelining is nice to have • Authorization to work in the intended work location
