📋 Description

• Function under the direction of the Health Information Corporate Coding Manager • Accurately code and abstract clinical information from medical records • Maintain coding data quality, integrity, and productivity within established guidelines • Code assigned Tenet facilities • Assist with productive coding to maintain DNFC • Assist with quality chart reviews • Assist with training new Corporate Coders • Support other indicated projects

🎯 Requirements

• Associates or higher-level degree in a Health Information Management discipline • Successful completion of at least one AHIMA-certified program; the correlating professional credential is preferred (RHIA, RHIT, and/or CCS, etc.) • 1–3 years of inpatient coding experience • Skilled and working knowledge of the MS Office suite • Strong technical background and electronic medical record experience • Successful completion of a pre-employment coding proficiency assessment
