📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounting team across Billing, Collections, Staff Accounting, and Accounting Operations • Own the monthly close process and ensure financial statements are accurate, complete, and delivered on time • Review Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules • Oversee monthly revenue recognition in accordance with company policy • Partner with Billing and Operations to resolve discrepancies between campaign activity, invoicing, and recognized revenue • Oversee payroll and commission calculations and ensure accurate, timely processing each pay period • Monitor accounts receivable, collections, cash flow, and billing performance • Partner with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, headcount planning, and long-term financial modeling • Build and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, documentation, and audit-ready financial records • Identify opportunities to automate workflows, improve financial systems, and increase Finance function efficiency and scalability • Develop KPIs, dashboards, and reporting for business performance visibility • Foster accountability, ownership, continuous improvement, and professional development across the Finance team • Deliver accurate, timely monthly financial reporting and predictable month-end close • Support scalable finance processes through automation, documentation, and operational improvements

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including leadership responsibilities • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, month-end close, revenue recognition, and internal controls • Experience leading and developing accounting teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment • Advanced experience with QuickBooks or similar ERP/accounting systems • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills • Outstanding attention to detail • CPA designation, active or inactive, nice to have • Experience within a services business, marketing agency, talent management, advertising, or media company, nice to have • Experience with commission accounting, payroll administration, and multi-entity accounting, nice to have • Experience implementing accounting systems, automation tools, or process improvements, nice to have • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and executive financial reporting, nice to have
