📋 Description

• Lead preparation, analysis, and review of complex participation profit-share and distribution financial statements • Ensure financial outputs align with contractual obligations and accounting standards • Prepare fiscal month-end close tasks, including true-ups, reconciliations, and expense accruals • Connect statement reporting with general ledger accuracy • Investigate data variances and provide clear narratives for management • Review peer statements for precision, audit readiness, and internal control compliance • Translate artist and label legal agreements into functional financial models • Compile, transform, and analyze transactional data for statement reporting, budgets, and cash forecasts • Provide financial data for deal models and audit responses • Investigate artist inquiries, data issues, and audit claims • Anticipate roadblocks and recommend resolutions to management • Guide analysts, provide review feedback, and facilitate new-hire training • Build relationships with label finance, legal teams, and senior executives • Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements and automation initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• BA/BS degree required; Accounting or Finance preferred • 3–5 years of professional experience in a sophisticated financial capacity • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel • Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, P&L statements, reconciliations, fiscal close processes, and internal controls • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills • Ability to take ownership, work autonomously, stay organized, and deliver accurately under pressure • Ability to distill complex financial information into clear, actionable insights • Leadership traits necessary to mentor peers • Experience in Music, Media, or Entertainment, specifically Participations, Royalties, or Audit, preferred • Proficiency with SAP S4 Hana, SAP Analysis for Office, BI, and SharePoint preferred • Experience leveraging Generative AI tools to automate manual workflows preferred • Proven success working in a fully remote, Shared Services environment preferred
