📋 Description

• Collect, review, audit, and analyze documentation required for SBA loan closings • Review SBA Terms & Conditions and credit memorandums to ensure closing conditions are satisfied • Coordinate SBA modifications or amendments when necessary • Ensure compliance with SBA SOP requirements, Bank policy, legal documentation requirements, and loan approval conditions • Identify and resolve documentation deficiencies, compliance concerns, collateral issues, and exceptions • Prepare, review, and validate loan closing documents • Independently manage complex SBA loan transactions • Coordinate closing activities with borrowers, referral sources, attorneys, title companies, CDCs, SBA representatives, insurance agents, vendors, and internal departments • Prepare, review, and process loan funding requests, including SBA guaranty fees and closing costs • Maintain complete electronic loan files according to retention, audit, and regulatory requirements • Obtain or assist with post-closing exceptions and tickler items • Escalate discrepancies, documentation deficiencies, and operational risks • Maintain loan status reports, workflow tracking, and pipeline management information • Provide guidance, technical assistance, and mentoring to less experienced closing staff • Collaborate on operational improvements, efficiency, customer experience, and quality control • Maintain relationships with borrowers, attorneys, title companies, CDCs, and internal personnel • Manage and maintain a pipeline of 12–14 loans • Perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience • 7 years loan documentation or SBA experience • Extensive knowledge of SBA loan programs including 7(a), SBA Express, and 504 • Thorough understanding of SBA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), commercial loan documentation, and closing requirements • Advanced knowledge of SBA eligibility, loan documentation, and loan closing requirements preferred • Experience with E-Tran preferred • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills preferred • Excellent organizational, problem solving, and decision-making skills preferred • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage high volume pipeline preferred • Exceptional customer service skills preferred • Successful completion of background check including credit, criminal, education, employment, OFAC, and social media background history
