📋 Description

• Provide remote, on-demand paralegal support for short-term and long-term legal projects for client law firms • Support Florida family law and civil litigation matters • Draft pleadings, motions, petitions, notices, correspondence, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents • Manage active files from inception through settlement, hearing, or trial • Handle all phases of discovery • Schedule hearings, depositions, and mediations • Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, judicial assistants, and court personnel • Monitor court deadlines and comply with scheduling orders • Conduct legal research • Assist attorneys with hearing and trial preparation, including exhibits, witness files, and trial binders • Communicate with clients regarding sensitive family law matters • Manage multiple active matters independently and proactively

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Paralegal with direct experience in Florida family law and civil litigation matters • Strong understanding of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure, family law procedures, court rules, and filing requirements • Experience drafting pleadings, motions, petitions, notices, correspondence, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation-related documents • Experience supporting divorce, child custody, child support, paternity, alimony, modification, and post-judgment matters • Ability to manage active family law and civil litigation files through settlement, hearing, or trial • Experience handling all phases of discovery • Experience with e-filing through the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal • Experience scheduling hearings, depositions, and mediations • Strong calendaring and deadline-management skills • Ability to conduct legal research and assist with hearing and trial preparation • Strong client communication skills and ability to handle sensitive family law matters professionally and compassionately • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple active matters simultaneously • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Self-starter able to work independently and proactively with minimal supervision
