📋 Description

• Research, write, and maintain clear, current, and practical legal content aligned with market practice, customer needs, and business objectives • Review and edit content written by colleagues and external expert contributors • Monitor legal, practice, and market developments to keep content accurate and relevant • Support the development of customer-focused Thomson Reuters AI-powered legal solutions • Support the development and application of internal AI editorial tools • Develop and maintain relationships with lawyers and industry groups • Assist the wider Thomson Reuters team with specialist legal knowledge • Collaborate with product management, sales, marketing, and technology functions as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctor • Current license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction • At least 8 years’ experience working as a Corporate and M&A lawyer in a law firm or in-house • Extensive experience advising companies on Corporate law for cross-border matters • Experience with M&A, including drafting and negotiating merger agreements, stock/asset purchase agreements, financing and ancillary documents involving one or more non-US entities • Experience with company formation and governance, particularly of non-US subsidiaries • Experience with joint ventures • Experience with investment matters • Strong writing skills • Ability to write about legal practice accurately, concisely, and in plain English • Ability to work effectively independently and in multi-jurisdictional teams • Strong technical skills, including effective use of generative AI technologies • Adaptability and flexibility to work on diverse projects within the generative AI space and new and emerging technologies • Curious, adaptable, and open to change • Experience using AI tools in legal work • Familiarity with differences in legal practice in non-US jurisdictions, particularly Latin America, preferred • Writing sample required for candidates selected for a second interview
