📋 Description

• Lead the design and delivery of complex, high-impact initiatives spanning multiple teams and systems from concept through production • Own and evolve critical-system architecture for scalability, reliability, and maintainability • Drive technical strategy, simplify systems, reduce complexity, and improve engineering velocity • Partner with Product, Design, and cross-functional stakeholders to shape ambiguous problems into actionable solutions with measurable customer impact • Provide technical leadership and mentorship through guidance, design reviews, and hands-on collaboration • Establish and promote best practices for code quality, testing, observability, and operational excellence • Identify and address system-wide risks, performance bottlenecks, and scaling challenges • Champion AI and emerging technologies to improve developer productivity and drive organizational innovation

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience leading the design and delivery of large-scale distributed systems in production • Strong backend expertise, preferably in Java or Kotlin, with ability to contribute across the full stack • Ability to design scalable architectures and make technical tradeoffs across systems and teams • Experience navigating ambiguity and aligning stakeholders • Technical leadership experience, including mentoring engineers and influencing engineering standards • Deep understanding of microservices architecture, system design, performance, reliability, and observability • Ability to decompose complex problems into strategies and guide execution • Strong product and customer mindset with a history of delivering user and business impact • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Experience using AI-based tools or platforms to improve engineering effectiveness or enable product capabilities
