📋 Description

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain highly resilient and scalable features across Toast’s Sports & Entertainment product offerings • Lead complex projects improving customer functionality and reliability • Partner with teams across Toast • Build automated tests to ensure quality • Roll features out to customers and monitor success • Partner with Design and Product on feature definition and design • Partner with Customer Success, Solutions, Sales, Care, and Onboarding to align technical deliverables with enterprise customer expectations and long-term strategy • Mentor and coach other engineers • Leverage AI tools to enhance development workflow, improve velocity, and pioneer new approaches

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years experience building backend services and APIs • Extensive experience with an object-oriented language such as Java or Kotlin • Deep understanding of testing, quality, and best practices • Experience shipping production services while balancing delivery with platform stability and reliability • Experience building backend services and APIs and scaling distributed systems • Experience building Android applications with Kotlin is a plus • Experience building front-end applications is a plus • Focus on delivering positive impact for Toast customers • Enjoyment of working in a team environment with a shared codebase • Excellent cross-team communication skills on complex technical topics
