📋 Description

• Hire, onboard, and grow a team of backend and full-stack engineers • Run regular 1:1s, set clear goals, and provide direct, useful feedback • Own team performance management, including calibration and difficult conversations • Partner with Product to scope and prioritize platform and integration work • Guide architecture decisions for scalable APIs, backend services, and microservices supporting third-party trading platform integrations • Review pull requests, contribute to design documents, and unblock engineers on difficult problems • Own delivery through sprint planning, progress tracking, and realistic commitments against a live production system • Improve code quality, testing standards, and CI/CD practices • Own production reliability and observability, and lead incident response • Contribute to engineering standards and hiring practices across Tradeify • Help shape how the broader engineering team hires, onboards, and operates • Represent platform work, constraints, and technical debt tradeoffs in cross-functional planning • Report to the CTO • Partner with Product, Data, and other Engineering teams

🎯 Requirements

• Prior experience managing or leading engineers, in addition to hands-on engineering experience • Full-stack or backend engineering background • Experience with React, Next.js, or Vue on the frontend • Experience with Python, Node.js, C#, or Go on the backend • Experience with REST APIs, WebSocket services, and third-party platform integrations • Familiarity with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, or MongoDB • Experience running production systems on AWS, GCP, or Azure with Docker/Kubernetes • Comfort operating and scaling distributed systems that are already in production and load-bearing • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with non-technical stakeholders • Background in fintech, trading, or crypto • Experience with real-time systems and event-driven architectures using Kafka, NATS, or Pulsar • Familiarity with TimescaleDB or ClickHouse • Experience managing platform or infrastructure teams supporting other product teams internally • Experience managing teams that use AI-assisted development tools day to day • Must be able to work flexible hours to support collaboration across time zones, including the U.S., if needed • Work authorization and visa sponsorship status must be provided
