📋 Description

• Professionally handle inbound calls from patients regarding medical bills and financial matters • Engage with patients compassionately and empathetically while addressing concerns and inquiries • Collect payments over the phone and accurately record and document them • Assist patients in setting up payment plans as needed • Interpret and explain Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statements • Clarify insurance coverage, billed charges, discrepancies, and EOB questions • Investigate and research denied claims and billing disputes • Collaborate with insurance companies and healthcare providers to resolve billing issues • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient interactions, payments, and resolutions • Generate reports to track and analyze billing and collection trends • Stay current with healthcare billing regulations and compliance standards • Ensure interactions and processes adhere to HIPAA guidelines • Strive for first-call resolution and maintain high patient satisfaction

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent • Previous experience in a healthcare billing, revenue cycle management, or customer service role is required, minimum of 1 year • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities • Proficiency in using computer applications and billing software • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion • Understanding of healthcare billing codes, insurance terminology, and medical terminology is a plus • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States • Availability Monday–Friday, 8:00AM–4:30PM Central Time Zone
