📋 Description

• Physically inspect and assess damaged vehicles from accidents, weather events, and other covered losses • Perform virtual inspections and estimate review work at body shops or customer locations • Collaborate with repair facilities to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality across claims • Prepare repair estimates using industry-standard estimating software • Determine parts, labor, and materials costs required to restore vehicles • Evaluate and settle total losses by determining actual cash value through market research, comparable vehicle analysis, and valuation tools • Negotiate repair costs and settlements with body shops, customers, and third-party claimants • Identify and document pre-existing damage, prior repairs, and potential fraud indicators • Coordinate repairs, authorize supplements, and resolve coverage or repair-related issues with claim representatives, body shops, and vendors • Explain the appraisal process, answer questions, and keep vehicle owners informed throughout the claim lifecycle • Adapt to technology implementations, system upgrades, and digital tool rollouts, particularly AI-related tools • Serve as a technical resource and provide advice to claim professionals • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required • Bachelor’s Degree • Active adjuster license, where applicable • Two years of auto physical damage appraisal experience • One year of auto physical damage appraisal or comparable claim related experience, or successful completion of required Travelers Claim Representative training program • Valid driver's license • Proficient in claims management and estimating software • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and enterprise technology systems and platforms • Basic understanding of insurance principles and terminology, state insurance regulations, and claim handling requirements • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make effective decisions • Exceptional customer service skills • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively • Demonstrated conflict resolution skills • Ability to manage stress and maintain composure and professionalism under pressure • Ability to quickly learn from experience and apply it to new situations
