• Capture, analyze, and report data to support Trinity Health leadership and operational efficiency • Audit department information, produce reports, and suggest process improvements • Research, collect, compile, synthesize, and analyze information for operational projects and initiatives • Develop detailed summaries with graphical data presentations, trends, recommendations, ROI, and impact analysis • Distribute analytical and quality reports, including missing, duplicate, and late charge reports • Ensure accurate CPT and/or ICD-10 documentation for patient billing and educate colleagues and providers on documentation and coding • Maintain charge capture process documentation and reference logs • Review process adherence and identify missing charges • Coordinate with stakeholders on system changes and upgrades affecting charge capture accuracy • Oversee daily and monthly charge reconciliation processes for assigned departments • Perform or guide clinical department reconciliation, including supply and implant charge capture and duplicate-charge identification • Perform charge entry/capture, charge approvals, and quality charge reviews, including modifiers and clinical documentation checks • Provide feedback to Revenue Integrity colleagues and identify improvement opportunities • Support denial-related charge reviews through clinical documentation analysis, root-cause analysis, and education • Collaborate on performance improvement activities and support leadership decision-making
• High school diploma or GED • Minimum of 1–2 years of relevant work experience in a hospital and/or Physician Practice environment • Experience in revenue cycle, billing, coding, and/or patient financial services • Charge control/capture work experience strongly preferred • Experience with current medical terminology, data entry, supply chain processes, and hospital and/or Medical Group practice operations • Experience with revenue cycle front-end functions, such as patient registration, that may impact charge-related errors • Knowledge of billing and regulatory guidelines related to charging and revenue cycle processes • Ability to assist clinical departments and/or physician practices with charging-practice changes based on guidelines • RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC/COC, AAPC, or other coding credentials preferred • Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse licensure preferred • CHC certification preferred • CHRI certification/membership strongly preferred • Ability to work a rotational weekend approximately every 6 weeks • Ability to use multiple system applications for analysis, reporting, and educational materials • Ability to comply with applicable laws, regulations, Trinity Health policies, procedures, guidelines, Integrity & Compliance Program, and Code of Conduct • Ability to maintain confidentiality and safe work practices
