• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Risk Management Strategies business • Ensure alignment with organizational objectives, growth strategies, and financial goals • Maintain comprehensive understanding of Matrix businesses, objectives, products, and services • Ensure messaging and solutions address client and broker needs • Determine how Matrix products and services can best be deployed for clients, brokers, and carrier partners • Develop and execute short- and long-term strategies driving profitable growth, operational effectiveness, client retention, and service excellence • Assume responsibility for financial and operational performance, including P&L, quality, human resources, product development, strategic relationships, and policies and procedures • Lead and direct Property and Liability leaders and their teams • Establish performance expectations and evaluate operational, financial, client service, and organizational results • Exercise independent judgment regarding significant operational, financial, client, and strategic matters • Improve client programs, operational processes, service delivery, and program efficiency • Develop strategic recommendations based on client objectives, program performance, industry trends, and emerging risks • Lead complex projects, strategic initiatives, and business planning meetings with C-suite and senior stakeholders • Build and maintain relationships with clients, brokers, carriers, vendors, and business partners • Resolve significant client, operational, and business issues • Partner with cross-functional departments to improve processes and maximize efficiencies • Evaluate vendor relationships and contracts and negotiate or recommend changes • Collaborate with carrier partners to expand products and service offerings • Participate in client and prospect meetings, industry events, and broker/carrier meetings • Prepare for and participate in Board of Directors and senior leadership presentations • Monitor markets, industry developments, competitors, and emerging trends • Develop, implement, and oversee policies, procedures, and operational standards • Select, develop, coach, and evaluate leaders and key team members • Perform other executive-level responsibilities and strategic initiatives as assigned
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant executive-level experience • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience within a third-party administrator (TPA), insurance carrier, risk management organization, or related industry • Significant leadership experience with responsibility for business operations, client relationships, financial performance, and development of organizational strategy • Demonstrated experience managing and developing leaders and professional teams • Demonstrated experience with P&L management and financial accountability • Extensive knowledge of automobile liability, general liability, and property programs • Experience developing and maintaining relationships with clients, brokers, carriers, and other strategic business partners • Demonstrated business development and consultative sales experience • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint • Ability and willingness to travel as required • Ability to develop and execute business strategies supporting growth and profitability • Strong executive leadership, business judgment, and decision-making skills • Ability to analyze complex financial, operational, and business information and translate findings into strategic recommendations • Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and P&L performance • Ability to lead through subordinate managers and establish accountability for business and operational results • Exceptional relationship management, negotiation, presentation, and executive communication skills • Ability to influence and collaborate with C-suite executives, clients, brokers, carriers, vendors, and other stakeholders • Ability to identify and resolve complex business, operational, and client issues using independent judgment • Ability to lead multiple strategic initiatives and priorities in a dynamic business environment • Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills • Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate policies, procedures, operational standards, and performance expectations • Ability to review and analyze financial, operational, client, and market data • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive business, employee, client, and financial information • Ability to effectively use technology and business applications necessary to perform executive-level responsibilities • Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance and travel as required
