• Provide technical support to customers’ PCB designers and manufacturing groups • Interface with customer PCB designers early in the design cycle • Provide feedback on routing, layout techniques, signal integrity, PCB layer stack-up cost trade-offs, material selection, and electrical/mechanical requirements • Educate customer designers and technologists on Design for Manufacture and Design for Value • Reduce customer design cycle time by resolving issues between TTM pre-production engineering groups and customers • Improve the quality and completeness of customer design packages • Identify design problems related to manufacturability and reliability testing • Communicate TTM capabilities and set technology roadmaps through customer presentations • Support QTA, NPI, and high-volume manufacturing across North America and Asia Pacific • Provide TTM manufacturing facilities with insight into future customer needs and technology requirements • Identify and communicate roadmap and capability gaps • Facilitate customer technical needs with engineering and operations • Analyze customer designs for manufacturability, controlled impedance, and specification improvements • Establish technical contacts between customers and TTM • Assist pre-production teams with DFM/TQ issues at customer sites • Support Sales Account Managers in increasing customer revenue through technical support • Travel for customer site visits and manufacturing site support as required • Create and conduct technical capability presentations with the sales team • Balance communication among Sales, Development, Pre-Production Engineering, and Operations
• Strong printed circuit engineering background • Knowledge of the entire PCB manufacturing process, including process flows, processing steps, and tooling • Strong written and oral communication skills • Ability to work effectively with customer design groups • Ability to make decisions influencing PCB design quality for strategic customers • Ability to support high-yield production at TTM North America and Asia Pacific sites • Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision • Ability to make routine decisions with general direction from the department Manager • Effective public speaking and presentation skills • Disciplined in working remotely • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related discipline preferred • 6+ years of engineering experience related to PCB manufacturing preferred • Minimum-level experience with electrical design performance and signal integrity, including impedance and insertion loss • Intermediate drawing/blueprint interpretation skills • Experience using PCB CAM software, tooling PCB stack-up tools • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project • Willingness to travel 15–25% to customer visits, TTM North American manufacturing sites, and TTM Asia Pacific sites • Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and applicable ITAR, EAR, and OFAC requirements • Must be able to identify ITAR products and understand access restrictions for US Citizens and US Permanent Residents • Must recognize Foreign Person visitors and follow authorization procedures for facility access and shipments
