📋 Description

• Lead, coach, and grow a team of backend and full-stack engineers, including hiring, performance management, career development, and retention • Set and enforce engineering standards for scalable architecture, design reviews, automated testing, and production observability • Champion AI-assisted engineering practices to increase velocity, quality, and metrics impact • Collaborate with product, design, and operations teams to understand requirements and guide the roadmap • Drive metrics-driven prioritization using business impact data and platform health metrics • Collaborate with the Core AI team to integrate and deliver Generative AI and Predictive AI features • Participate in additional responsibilities as needed, including on-call rotations • Travel regularly to the Menlo Park headquarters for planning workshops and team collaboration sessions • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a STEM-related field (Master's preferred) • 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years managing engineering teams • Track record of hiring, developing, and retaining strong engineers • Strong hands-on backend foundation, including microservices, API design, SQL databases, and event-driven architectures • Experience architecting and operating production systems at scale, including observability, on-call, incident management, and performance optimization • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development workflows • Success partnering with product, design, and operations stakeholders, including roadmap governance and prioritization • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. • Unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa
