📋 Description

• Handle sophisticated, high-exposure litigation, including trucking and motor vehicle matters, premises liability, surgical and medical-related cases, and other complex liability matters • Independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials • Manage full case-handling responsibilities, including discovery and trial preparation • Develop compelling case themes and strategies • Conduct substantive motion practice and discovery • Work closely with trial attorneys Holly Howanitz and Stefani Cogsdale on significant Florida matters • Take meaningful ownership of cases and independently move assignments and cases forward • Communicate routinely with clients • Cultivate relationships with existing and future clients • Work collaboratively with attorneys at all experience levels • Provide leadership and direction to less experienced attorneys • Build expertise through mentorship, training, courtroom exposure, and increasing responsibility

🎯 Requirements

• Active Florida Bar license required • JD from an ABA-approved school • Must be licensed in your state • 8+ years of solid litigation experience, specifically with litigation support, deposition, and trial preparation • Ability to manage full case-handling responsibilities, including all facets of discovery and trial • Experience handling insurance defense matters preferred • Experience with time management systems • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook • Ability to think and act independently with minimal supervision • Outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills • Professional appearance and demeanor • Strong legal writing skills • Substantive motion practice and discovery experience • Trial experience highly valued • Law Review or demonstrated exceptional legal research and writing is particularly attractive
