• Perform radiation therapy procedures according to physician orders and departmental guidelines • Determine and prepare treatment setups within established parameters • Calculate monitor units and record patient treatment information in the EMR while maintaining confidentiality • Maintain and submit daily patient EMR information, charges, schedules, and census • Communicate treatment-related information to patients and families, including appointments, skin care, treatment field care, and proper attire • Assess and evaluate patient needs and treatment problems, recommend interventions, and act in accordance with physician practices and departmental policies • Investigate problems or unsatisfactory procedures and recommend possible solutions • Check patient EMRs for accuracy and proper documentation • Schedule patients for daily treatments • Maintain quality control of patient EMR and treatment parameters • Maintain treatment-room cleanliness, linens, and supplies • Perform equipment warm-up, start-up, and quality-control procedures; report malfunctions or adverse conditions • Construct treatment aids, bolus material, positioning, and immobilization devices and check their suitability and accuracy • Clean and lubricate equipment, evaluate accessories for damage, and coordinate repairs • Perform other duties as assigned
• Associate's degree in Radiation Therapy plus 2 years of experience in a healthcare environment OR Bachelor's degree • Current registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists as a radiation therapist with an accredited radiation therapy technology program • Current licensure as a Radiation Therapist with the Arkansas Department of Health • Current BLS certification or successful completion within the first 30 days of employment • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment • Ability to work five days a week and be subject to overtime and call back as required • Required application documents: license or certificate, three professional references, and resume • Pre-employment screening, including annual TB screening, criminal background check, substance abuse testing, and education verification • Ability to perform the listed physical activities, including sitting, standing, talking, walking, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, and handling sharps
