📋 Description

• Work with data, develop preliminary findings, and prepare reports and visualizations • Analyze data and develop models associated with fire safety science • Ensure data quality, lineage, and governance compliance • Present research results internally or externally • Plan, design, and complete tests as needed to validate results • Collaborate with diverse teams and work with students • Stay updated with changing technologies and participate in academic events

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field plus 8 or more years of relevant work experience OR • Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field plus 4 or more years of relevant work experience OR • PhD in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field plus 2 or more years of relevant work experience • Experience with ETL/ELT tools and modern data pipeline architectures • Experience with data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance methodologies • Experience testing and troubleshooting data pipelines, data integrations, and data transformation processes • Experience developing automated data quality checks and validation scripts • Excellent communication skills • Ability to collaborate with peers and work directly with Research Scientists and other team members to complete a project from start to finish • Ability to serve as lead author on reports and papers.
