• Directly manage a team of engineers and field professionals, including hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning • Be responsible for team structure, role clarity, and effective deployment of resources across projects • Monitor team workload, well-being, and engagement, particularly in a high-travel environment • Lead performance management processes, including goal setting, coaching, and performance evaluations • Provide ongoing feedback and career development planning • Identify and develop high-potential talent and proactively addresses performance gaps • Lead development of the quality control strategy, scope, and plan for large-scale heavy civil infrastructure projects • Lead mobilization, project execution and resourcing • Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to the engineers with assigned responsibility for the coordination, execution, and construction management of engineering projects • Collaborate across the business to develop best-in-class quality control and safety strategies, plans, and practices • Hold team members accountable to the Critical Infrastructure Command Team’s high standards • Support in business development efforts and be a strong external representative and advocate for the Critical Infrastructure Command Team and for Ulteig industry wide.
• Licensed Professional Engineer • 8 years of related experience in large-scale heavy civil infrastructure construction required • 2 years of related experience managing construction inspection/quality teams required • DOT, ACI or related certifications for Asphalt and/or Concrete preferred • Excellent writing and communication skills • Excellent time management skills • Superior interpersonal and organizational skills • Self-motivated; able to work independently and with a project team • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture • Must have legal authorization to work in US.
