📋 Description

• Design high-voltage (69kV–500kV) transmission lines using PLS-CADD • Complete complex project assignments using advanced engineering techniques, theory, precepts and practices • Provide expert consultation for the design, development and implementation of technical plans and systems used in high-voltage transmission-line construction • Facilitate collaboration between disciplines and project team members • Act as client contact to determine project scope and understand requirements • Develop construction documents for transmission lines • Produce project design criteria, plan and profile drawings, structure framing and loading drawings, assembly drawings, structure foundation drawings and construction specifications • Coordinate specific design aspects of projects • Estimate construction costs and specify materials • Review project drawings, calculations and specifications • Assist in training and mentoring team members • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success • Maintain positive client relationships • Manage individual workload and independently complete assigned tasks • Apply evolving technology and AI tools to enhance workflows, solve problems and drive continuous improvement

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited school • Minimum of 10 years’ engineering experience is required • 8 years of Transmission Line Engineering or related experience required • PE license required • Proficiency in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE preferred • Previous experience working with or for a Utility is highly preferred • Must be analytical, self-motivated, and able to work in a team environment and a variety of situations • Excellent presentation and verbal/written communications skills • Strong interpersonal skills • Proven experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and AutoCAD preferred • Proficiency in MFAD/LPILE preferred • Ability and drive to mentor less experienced engineers • Must have authorization to work permanently in the US
