📋 Description

• Provide strategic oversight and direction to the Fund Accounting Department • Lead SVPs and potentially VPs, providing leadership, vision, and technical guidance • Oversee fund accounting operations and ensure high work quality and client satisfaction • Drive technical and developmental training initiatives • Partner with business development in sales presentations and identify new service opportunities • Drive continuous improvement in the operating model, including Artificial Intelligence opportunities • Engage in industry associations and events • Advise executives and management on people management, goal setting, policy development, and strategic implementation • Develop and execute the annual Strategic Plan • Participate in daily, monthly, and quarterly executive management meetings • Conceptualize and implement initiatives supporting business objectives • Ensure adequate resources for timely reporting to clients and NASDAQ • Establish long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies with the Executive team • Recommend fund allocations, process changes, and system upgrades • Ensure the training team has tools and resources to improve departmental knowledge • Review regulatory compliance and recommend accounting procedure changes • Coordinate departmental disaster recovery efforts • Support independent SOC1 audits through research, documentation, questions, and team coordination • Review operational controls and update procedures • Oversee hiring, training, development, delegation, performance appraisals, salary recommendations, coaching, counseling, and corrective actions • Conduct regular one-on-one and team meetings • Establish team and individual goals • Foster performance and accountability across managers and associates • Communicate company information and changes • Mentor through instruction, coaching, modeling, and advising • Oversee client requests and ensure client needs are met • Communicate with fund administration, transfer agency, and custodians regarding fund accounting activities • Perform other duties as requested and assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent • 15+ years of experience in a related field • 10+ years in strategic senior leadership roles • Equivalent education, experience, and KSA’s will be considered • Fund accounting technical expertise • Knowledge of accounting and finance principles • Knowledge of complex asset types such as derivatives, bank loans, and private assets • Knowledge of financial industry terminology • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat • Ability to work beyond the normal workday or work week as business needs arise • Ability to sit and stand regularly • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 lbs • Specific vision abilities required
