📋 Description

• Provide telephonic clinical assessments, health education, and utilization management services • Provide triage assessments using telecommunications, computer-based algorithms, protocols, and guidelines • Use critical thinking and clinical knowledge to assess, disposition, make care recommendations, and provide education and health information • Provide nursing assessments according to the state Nurse Practice Act • Identify patient care needs, risk and safety issues, educational opportunities, and appropriate healthcare referrals • Process calls according to Quality Management guidelines • Comply with product-specific performance metrics • Maintain regular, reliable attendance and timeliness • Work four weekend shifts per month, either every Saturday or every other weekend • Attend virtual, interactive classroom training for 2–4 weeks, with the first two weeks during daytime hours • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Current, unrestricted RN licensure in a compact state that is your state of residence • Must reside in a compact state and maintain a compact multistate license • Current home state RN license in good standing • Minimum associate degree from a two-year college or technical school or Diploma Nursing Program; BSN preferred • RNs must maintain the mandatory number of CEU credits per year to maintain assigned licenses • Must attend 100% of training hours and pass intra-training testing components • Minimum 3 years of Registered Nurse clinical experience • Ability to become licensed in additional states as required • Must currently reside and have a Multi-State (compact) unrestricted RN license in AL, AR, CO, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MS, MO, MT, NE, NM, NC, ND, NH, OK, SC, SD, TN, TX, VA, WI, or WY • Ability to apply clinical knowledge to meet clinical business standards • Ability to run multiple computer programs simultaneously • Ability to identify improvement opportunities and recommend workable solutions • Ability to determine when to escalate issues appropriately and timely • Comprehensive communication skills • Experience in ER, adult and pediatric care, Medical/Surgical, Home Health and Hospice, or other acute areas preferred • Telephone triage experience and understanding of health benefit plans and the insurance industry helpful but not required • Bilingual skills are a plus
