📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the day-to-day accounting function and establish clear accountability across the team and external partners • Stabilize and improve the month-end close process, delivering accurate financials on a consistent timeline • Identify and resolve outstanding accounting issues, reconciliations, and process gaps • Assess accounting systems, processes, and internal controls and provide the CFO with recommendations for improvement • Manage relationships with external auditors and prepare Enhanced for public-company accounting and reporting requirements • Build a reliable, efficient accounting function with a predictable close process, clean books, strong controls, and clear reporting to the CFO • Establish scalable accounting infrastructure and a structured team to support continued growth and reduce day-to-day accounting dependency on the CFO

🎯 Requirements

• Prior startup experience working in a lean, fast-moving environment • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including GAAP, financial statements, reconciliations, accruals, and accounting policies • Public company experience with SEC reporting, external audits, and internal controls • Experience owning month-end close and financial reporting with a focus on accuracy and timeliness • Track record of improving accounting processes, controls, and ERP systems to increase efficiency and reduce manual work • Hands-on, proactive approach with ability to dive into details while owning the broader accounting function • Must be authorized to work in the United States of America • No sponsorship required • Must be okay with occasional travel to NYC if remote
