📋 Description

• Contact insurance companies regarding outstanding claim status • Process and follow up on insurance appeals • Refile claims as needed • Work correspondence daily • Maintain basic proficiency with spreadsheets • Audit and complete adjustment requests when appropriate • Resolve Manual Tasks assigned to Accounts Receivable for follow-up • Work outstanding accounts receivable from assigned work queues • Meet department productivity standards • Maintain an accuracy rating of at least 97% on audited accounts • Maintain strict confidentiality • Develop subject-matter expertise across multiple workflows and payers • Identify and communicate trends to leadership • Provide peer payer and system training support • Gather data and report findings in partnership with leadership • Perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent • 1–3 years professional/healthcare experience preferred • 3+ years Accounts Receivable experience preferred • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Basic math skills for calculating anesthesia units, proper reimbursement, and percentages for adjustments • Understanding of medical terminology • Advanced knowledge of insurance processing, guidelines, laws, and EOBs • Knowledge of managed care, Medicare, and Medicaid guidelines • Accurate data entry skills • Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and ASA codes • Problem-solving, decision-making, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills • Ability to gather and report information • Ability to work effectively with staff, physicians, and external customers • Ability to work as part of a team and independently with limited supervision • Self-motivated and goal-oriented • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Teams • Must reside in the United States, excluding California, Hawaii, and Alaska
