📋 Description

• Lead all aspects of U.S. Soccer’s Women’s College Talent ID Plan • Develop relationships with key NCAA programs and members • Create, drive, execute, and evolve a strategic scouting plan for the women’s college landscape • Collaborate with Talent ID, Women’s National Team Coaches, performance teams, scouts, and scouting networks • Identify, track, monitor, and recommend U-17 through U-23 players • Expand and improve the College Scouting Network • Serve as Player Scout Lead for an assigned YNT age group • Manage online technology platforms for reporting, tracking, and longitudinal monitoring • Apply data and create video clips to produce player profiles • Manage player identification, tracking, and weekly scouting assignments across NCAA Division 1 • Maintain college depth charts and collaborate on age-group depth charts • Create, present, review, and cross-check written and video player reports • Recommend players for YNT camps through longitudinal and collaborative selection processes • Attend key YNT age-group camp days, NCAA games, and events in person • Build, manage, and develop a network of independent/part-time scouts across the NCAA landscape • Assign scouts to games, training sessions, and annual events • Review scout reports for quality control, provide feedback, and organize mentoring • Build supplementary networks with members, colleges, Talent Reporters, and tipsters • Support scouting initiatives for Behind the Badge, underserved communities, and outreach programs • Continuously monitor players using reports, documents, and logbooks • Create video clips for player examination and reviews • Apply data and statistics for quantitative player analysis • Support development of internal W-NCAA data dashboards and scouting systems • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders • Complete and annually review a personal development plan

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent • U.S. Soccer Talent Scout License or equivalent, or ability to successfully complete year 1 if not currently licensed • Ability to lead, plan, and collaborate • Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building ability • Passion for scouting and experience in a college and/or high-performance environment • Growth mindset • Comprehensive knowledge of the NCAA landscape and pathway • Understanding of talent identification and development processes, structures, theory, and practice • Soccer experience and game understanding sufficient to assess player actions and behaviors • Proficiency with analysis, reporting, video clipping, data, and scout technology platforms including Sportscode, Wyscout, Hudl, and Statsbomb • Ability to work in fast-paced and demanding environments • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook • Excellent verbal and written communication and professional demeanor • Willingness and ability to work and travel throughout the year • Willingness and ability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed • Participation in assigned U.S. Soccer Talent Scout Courses and herLENS workshops • Professional playing experience is desired • Bilingual English and Spanish is desired
