• Lead and execute on-site installations of UVeye automated vehicle inspection systems • Direct third-party contractors and ensure projects meet engineering specifications, timelines, safety requirements, and quality standards • Install, configure, calibrate, and validate systems across electrical, mechanical, networking, and civil components • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and integration issues in the field • Perform preventive maintenance and emergency service activities • Maintain compliance with safety standards and operational protocols • Identify hazards and enforce safe working practices for employees and contractors on-site • Review site layouts, engineering drawings, and technical documentation using AutoCAD or similar tools • Identify and escalate discrepancies between planned and actual site conditions • Serve as the primary technical point of contact during field activities • Communicate clearly, manage customer expectations, and deliver a professional customer experience • Maintain accurate installation and service documentation • Escalate complex technical issues to Engineering, R&D, and Operations • Provide field insights supporting continuous improvement • Travel extensively between customer locations, including dealerships, manufacturing plants, logistics hubs, warehouses, and outdoor environments across the United States
• 4+ years of experience as a Field Engineer or Field Technician in hardware/software installation and deployment • Proven experience leading teams or contractors during technical installations • Strong hands-on skills across civil works, networking, electrical wiring, and mechanical assemblies • Working knowledge of Linux-based systems and basic networking principles • Demonstrated ability to write installation, service, and maintenance procedures • Previous experience using AutoCAD or Autodesk to generate and interpret site layouts • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to lead discussions and provide direction clearly • Customer-first mindset and a high degree of resilience and adaptability under pressure • Strong safety mindset and ability to enforce compliance at every stage of the job • Willingness to travel up to 90% across the US • Valid driver’s license • Technical certification or trade school training (ideally) • Basic familiarity with Linux systems (ideally) • Experience working in customer-facing environments (ideally) • Ability to stand, walk, and work for extended periods on active job sites • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull equipment up to 50 lbs • Ability to bend, reach, climb, and manually handle tools or components • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, noise, and dust • Ability to use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
