📋 Description

• Analyze business processes, systems, and data to identify areas of improvement and recommend solutions • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and document processes • Help develop project plans • Develop business cases and feasibility studies for new initiatives and process improvements • Develop detailed business requirements documents and functional specifications • Collaborate with developers and project managers to ensure solutions meet business needs and are delivered on time and within budget • Develop and maintain project plans, status reports, and project-related documentation • Conduct user acceptance testing to ensure solutions meet business requirements • Facilitate stakeholder meetings and workshops to gather requirements and resolve issues • Collaborate with development teams on user interface and user experience needs • Assist in designing intuitive and user-friendly interfaces • Assist in developing and implementing new information systems • Coordinate with developers to ensure business requirements are met • Develop training materials and provide training to end-users as needed • Support the project manager in tracking and managing project timelines and deliverables • Communicate progress and issues to stakeholders regularly • Support an environmentally focused Federal Government client developing and maintaining secure, accessible information systems for environmental data tracking and reporting

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams • Experience with business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques • Experience with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Experience with process mapping and modeling tools such as Visio or JIRA is preferred • Understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability practices is a plus • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred, but not required • Experience with requirements elicitation and documentation techniques • Experience with business process modeling and mapping tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, and BPMN notation • Experience with data modeling and analysis techniques, including entity-relationship diagrams and data flow diagrams • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban • Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Trello, or Asana • Experience with collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, or JIRA • Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Cognos • Basic technical knowledge and understanding of software development and database technologies • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to maintain a quiet, distraction-free workspace with adequate internet • Availability during core business hours aligned with coworkers and clients • Disclosure of current or future outside employment and professional activities, with written approval required • Must not solicit or conduct outside business during Valiant Solutions or client core business hours
