📋 Description

• Own the architecture, data handling, and product layer of the software stack for a stealth product company • Work directly with the General Manager and a small engineering team to rapidly develop a new product • Partner with product enablement at the Valinor Hub to establish infrastructure and management • Design end-to-end software architecture connecting data flow, processing, and the user-facing product • Define interfaces with sensor integration and API components • Make and document core architecture decisions • Architect the edge-versus-cloud processing split under power and compute constraints • Establish time-series and object storage systems for sensor and telemetry data • Build reliable ingestion pipelines from systems to backend • Design bandwidth-constrained, compression-aware data transport with data versioning and observability • Develop detection and classification across acoustic, EO/IR, radar, RF/AIS, and other sensor modalities • Contribute to pattern-of-life anomaly detection • Fuse multi-modal signals into unified detection/classification outputs • Build the product configuration interface and geospatial common-operating-picture visualization layer

🎯 Requirements

• Experience contributing to the architecture and development of systems with real architectural stakes, such as edge/embedded software, sensor or data pipelines, or similar • Experience designing and operating time-series data systems and message-based ingestion pipelines, including MQTT, Kafka, or equivalent • Experience handling intermittent or unreliable connectivity • Full-stack experience with backend/data pipeline technologies such as Python or Go and frontend technologies such as React/TypeScript • Familiarity with embedded/edge constraints • Hands-on experience with at least one of acoustic, EO/IR, or radar signal processing or detection • Ability to stand up and maintain CI/CD and cloud infrastructure; AWS preferred • Ability to build and rebuild quickly with loose specifications and take ownership of decisions • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; active clearance preferred but not required • TAK/ATAK/WinTAK/TAK Server or comparable government C2/situational-awareness system integration experience strongly preferred • Applied ML experience, particularly anomaly detection or pattern-of-life modeling, strongly preferred • Prior defense or dual-use technology experience and familiarity with DoD software requirements, security, data handling, and ATO/RMF processes strongly preferred • Geospatial visualization experience with Mapbox, Cesium, deck.gl, or similar strongly preferred • Prior experience on an autonomous systems, robotics, or maritime/subsea platform strongly preferred • Must be authorized to work in the United States and answer U.S. work authorization and sponsorship questions
