• Manage service-to-payment conversion processes, including denials, non-response, service error management, authorizations, and eligibility • Verify insurance and eligibility for all patients using online portals or phone calls • Update patient accounts with correct insurance information • Accurately document patient demographics • Determine pre-authorization requirements and obtain authorizations for scheduled procedures • Receive and post client payments • Contact patients and clinical programs to obtain additional insurance information • Monitor and complete daily fax requests • Communicate insurance and other important updates to appropriate staff • Meet established production goals • Perform routine billing, accounting, and administrative tasks under close supervision while following internal controls and procedures • Provide customer service to patients and staff
• High School diploma or equivalent • No previous experience required • Preferred: one year of experience in a billing office • Knowledge of insurance billing terminology • Detail-oriented approach • Ability to work Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
