📋 Description

• Report to the Senior Director, Engineering – NA Transmission and manage direct reports. • Travel up to 20% (domestic and international, including overnight stays). • Partner with Site Engineering Managers and Supervisors to support development of new engineers. • Develop standardized training programs for associate and design engineers. • Assess training needs and deliver training programs for engineers. • Provide leadership and technical support to team members and internal/external customers. • Lead performance management activities, including reviews, goal setting, development plans, mentoring, and succession planning. • Collaborate with the Engineering Systems team to improve systems and design tools by providing written specifications and testing for system enhancements. • Lead or support special technical projects as needed. • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement approved changes. • Deliver performance feedback and evaluate team members. • Support departmental initiatives and continuous improvement efforts. • Maintain effective coordination with cross-functional teams. • Utilize project management tools (e.g., JIRA) to manage tasks and initiatives. • Support recruitment and interviewing activities. • Assist engineers in resolving production and field issues.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering. • 7+ years of relevant engineering experience. • Strong background in structural/civil design, preferably in tubular steel structures or line design. • Understanding of product application, design principles, fabrication, welding processes, and quality standards. • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license. • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and planning skills. • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Strong analytical, organizational, and process-development capabilities. • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. • Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and results-driven mindset. • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
