📋 Description

• Review invoices, journal entries, and other transactions for appropriate cost classification • Support tenant billing by ensuring recoverable costs are accurately captured and billed under lease agreements • Determine and monitor reimbursable and non-reimbursable costs • Maintain accounting records supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting • Research discrepancies, prepare correcting entries, and process cost reclassifications • Maintain audit-ready documentation and transaction-level support • Collaborate with Construction and Financial Analysis teams on cost coding • Assist with year-end audit documentation for internal and external auditors • Perform quarter-end fixed asset duties as needed • Support monthly close, journal-entry support, reconciliations, internal reporting, global allocation processes, and non-routine projects

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or equivalent experience required • 3–4 years at a public accounting firm or 7 or more years of experience in an accounting role required • Good understanding of GAAP required • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to collaborate across the organization and accomplish necessary tasks • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Commitment to continuous improvement and process optimization • Travel of up to 5% expected, potentially increasing over time • Real estate industry experience preferred but not required • Finance experience preferred but not required • Experience with SOX preferred but not required • Knowledge of Yardi preferred but not required
