📋 Description

• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand VAST Data's customer base • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and relationship building • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders within target accounts • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations showcasing VAST Data's data platform • Collaborate with marketing, product management, and customer success teams to execute sales strategies • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to position VAST Data's solutions • Negotiate contracts and close deals while following company policies and procedures • Provide sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and activity reports to management • Represent VAST Data at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings • Pursue ongoing learning and development

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive sales experience • Proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably within the database industry • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field • MBA preferred • Excellent evangelism skills and ability to communicate the value proposition of complex technical solutions • Strong understanding of database technologies, storage systems, and data management principles • Ability to build and maintain relationships with C-level executives and senior decision-makers • Highly motivated, self-starter, results-driven mindset, and passion for exceeding sales targets • Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales productivity tools • Willingness to travel as needed
