📋 Description

• Lead a team of Regional Operations Directors • Create the culture, structure, and accountability enabling hospitals to deliver exceptional medical outcomes, client and Associate experiences, and sustainable business performance • Own Group P&L performance, strategic growth, and long-term value creation • Drive operational excellence at scale, including labor productivity and para-labor optimization • Advance the Associate experience, open communication, and talent development • Support high-quality, compliant, and progressive veterinary medicine • Drive Group P&L and KPI performance through regional teams and accountable operational execution • Reinforce execution of VCA and United in Care enterprise programs • Design and execute growth strategies, including client acquisition and engagement initiatives • Oversee Group financial and business performance • Lead capital planning, facility improvements, and marketing strategy • Model VCA’s mission and The Five Principles of Mars, Inc. • Foster inclusive, collaborative, psychologically safe, and high-trust teams • Partner with Medical Operations, People & Organization, Finance, Talent Acquisition, Marketing, Facilities, and other support functions • Improve cross-hospital collaboration through a United in Care mindset • Support the Triad of Care model and coordinate medical training and Associate development • Ensure exceptional medical care, client experience measured by NPS, and operational excellence across hospitals • Partner in attracting, hiring, onboarding, retaining, and developing veterinarians • Support new doctors and new graduate onboarding, training, and hospital integration • Optimize doctor productivity, workflows, feedback, medical quality, and outcomes • Fulfill other related duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Candidates must reside in Florida, North Carolina, or South Carolina • Bachelor’s Degree / MBA or DVM preferred • 10+ years related experience; 12+ preferred • Ability to read, write and speak English • Advanced digital fluency with productivity platforms, including MS365 and cloud-based tools • Ability to relocate for career pathing • Participation in relevant national or state associations • Strong proficiency in Excel and Power BI • Deep expertise in the veterinary, healthcare or related services industry • Strong command of hospital operations, P&L ownership, pricing strategy, contract negotiation, revenue optimization, and labor management within multi-site healthcare or service environments • Ability to rapidly adopt emerging technologies, enterprise systems, and AI-enabled tools • Ability to analyze reports and data and establish ROI and KPIs • Ability to integrate business discipline with medical priorities • Skilled communicator able to deliver complex ideas clearly to audiences at all levels • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds • Good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity, grasping ability, and visual acuity • Ability to work around airborne particles, illness from patients, and chemicals related to animal care and office equipment • Ability to travel within the United States up to 75% of the time
