• Own and deliver regional P&L and KPIs across 12 New Jersey hospitals • Coach hospital leaders and hold them accountable for performance • Identify growth opportunities and optimize services, appointments, capacity, labor, inventory, and workflows • Enhance doctor productivity while maintaining medical excellence and patient outcomes • Manage pricing strategies, discount governance, and fee structures • Use financial, operational, and medical-quality insights to guide decisions and mitigate risk • Execute VCA and United in Care enterprise programs across hospitals • Deliver exceptional client and Associate experiences and high-quality medical care • Model VCA’s mission and The Five Principles of Mars, Inc. • Build partnerships with hospital leaders and develop leadership capability • Lead regional talent strategy, including doctor and hospital-leader recruitment, succession, growth, and retention • Coach leaders on performance management, engagement, culture, employment-law compliance, and organizational standards • Collaborate with GVP, Medical Operations, Patient Care, and Marketing leaders as part of the Triad of Care • Align operational decisions with medical priorities and improve medical outcomes using quality metrics and NPS insights • Support veterinarian onboarding, engagement, retention, and new-graduate success • Resolve non-medical client escalations • Activate regional marketing initiatives and community engagement • Share best practices and champion continuous improvement
• Bachelor’s Degree / MBA or DVM or a degree in healthcare • 8+ years driving multi-unit operational performance with end-to-end P&L responsibility; 10+ years preferred • Advanced digital fluency with productivity platforms, including MS365 and cloud-based tools • Strong proficiency in data and analytics platforms, including Excel and Power BI; preferred • Ability to read, write, and speak English • Ability to relocate for career pathing • Experience in the veterinary, healthcare, or related service industry preferred • Knowledge of hospital operations, P&L management, pricing execution, contract coordination, revenue optimization, and labor management • Ability to learn and adopt new technologies and company systems • Strong analytical skills using financial, operational, and medical performance data • Ability to align operational decisions with medical priorities • Clear communication and ability to translate complex ideas into practical guidance • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and manipulate materials up to 50 pounds • Good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity, grasping ability, and visual acuity • Ability to work around airborne particles, illness from patients, and animal-care and office-equipment chemicals • Ability to travel within the United States up to 75% of the time
