📋 Description

• Own detection and response across the cloud estate • Design and build a security data lake by selecting, normalizing, retaining, and managing the cost of Azure, AWS, SaaS, and endpoint telemetry • Write, tune, version-control, test, deploy, measure, and retire detections as code • Automate alert triage and enrichment and integrate runbooks into tooling • Reduce mean time to detect and mean time to respond for important alert classes • Harden Azure and AWS environments, including identity and RBAC boundaries, network egress, key and secret handling, logging coverage, and public-exposure controls • Deliver cloud security controls as Terraform modules and pipelines • Prioritize and manage cloud security posture remediation queues with resource-owning teams • Assess detection coverage against a recognized threat framework and close relevant gaps • Set direction for detection and cloud-security tooling • Partner with SRE, Product Engineering, and Security Engineering

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in security engineering, cloud operations, or detection engineering, with recent hands-on ownership of production cloud security work • Production Terraform experience, including writing and maintaining modules consumed by other teams • Operational depth in both Azure and AWS, including identity models, logging and audit sources, network boundaries, and provider defaults • Demonstrated experience building detections against real telemetry, tuning false positives, and validating shipped rules • Strong cloud security fundamentals: RBAC and least privilege, secret and key management, egress control, and public-exposure prevention • Fluency in at least one security-data query language: KQL, SQL, or equivalent • Scripting and automation ability in Python or a comparable language • Track record of shipping production code or infrastructure • Bonus: Microsoft Sentinel production-scale experience • Bonus: Wiz experience • Bonus: Cloud incident response experience • Bonus: Security data lake or SIEM migration experience • Bonus: Kubernetes and container security exposure, including AKS and EKS • Bonus: Familiarity with SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, or HITRUST audit expectations • Bonus: Relevant certifications such as Azure or AWS security specialty, GCIA, or GCDA
