📋 Description

• Lead the clinical direction of Vetster's veterinarian marketplace • Represent Vetster's clinical perspective through speaking engagements, media, and professional associations • Build relationships with veterinary schools, associations, and thought leaders • Serve as a public voice for the telehealth channel • Support commercial discussions with strategic animal-health partners • Advise Business Development and Enterprise teams on the clinical fit of partnerships and integrations • Represent Vetster's clinical standards to prospective and existing partners • Support recruitment strategy for the marketplace of veterinarians • Lead the Veterinary Success team in building and refining onboarding and training programs • Drive engagement across the veterinarian marketplace • Set and maintain clinical standards governing care on the Vetster platform • Review and update clinical workflows and policies as regulations, technology, and best practices change • Partner with Product and Engineering on tools supporting clinical judgment • Oversee Vetster's RVT team, including escalations, continuity of care, and case review • Set priorities, coach performance, and build team capacity • Maintain licensure and see a limited caseload of appointments • Serve as an Assigned Continuing Veterinarian when needed in line with VCPR requirements • Track state veterinary telemedicine law and VCPR requirements and advise teams on regulatory changes

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of companion animal clinical experience • DVM or VMD degree • Experience as lead DVM for a clinic or hospital, or as a regional leader for a veterinary group • Active veterinary licensure in good standing within the United States • Willingness to obtain additional state licenses • Track record of building or scaling clinical teams and standards • Comfort representing an organization publicly through media, speaking, or industry engagement • Strong judgment on when virtual care is appropriate • Clear written and verbal communication • Experience with, or strong interest in, veterinary telemedicine • Contractor responsible for continuing education expenses • Contractor responsible for maintaining personal professional liability insurance • Contractor responsible for professional association memberships and associated dues • Contractor responsible for other individual professional expenses unless otherwise agreed upon • Contractor responsible for providing and maintaining equipment, internet access, audiovisual technology, and private workspace
