📋 Description

• Lead the development, writing, and submission of foundation proposals, letters of inquiry, and grant reports • Translate Repair the World’s programs, impact, and priorities into compelling narratives aligned with funder interests • Collaborate with program, evaluation, finance, and leadership staff to gather content, outcomes data, and financial information • Ensure timely submission of grant deliverables and maintain clarity, accuracy, and storytelling quality • Adapt organizational language to funder priorities while maintaining Repair the World’s voice and values • Manage external grant writing consultants as needed • Maintain and communicate a comprehensive grants calendar • Develop and maintain internal grant development and reporting processes • Coordinate budgets, narratives, outcomes, and required attachments for submissions • Maintain organized grant records and documentation • Support stewardship communications, written updates, impact materials, and narrative assets for institutional supporters • Partner with frontline fundraisers on donor communications • Supervise the Donor Communications Manager and provide direction, feedback, and professional development support • Review and guide donor communications materials across proposals, donor updates, and development messaging • Manage a small portfolio of national foundation partners with senior development staff • Report to the Senior Director, Development and serve on the seven-person Development team

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, writing, or a related field • Demonstrated success in writing and managing foundation grant proposals and reports • Experience writing grant proposals in the $50,000 to $1,000,000+ range • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Experience supervising staff and supporting professional growth • Experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM system • Familiarity with donor research tools and project management platforms preferred • Passion for Repair the World’s mission and commitment to building thriving Jewish communities through Jewish service • Resume and a writing sample from a grant proposal or report authored by the candidate • Ability to indicate the candidate’s role if the writing sample was part of a collaborative submission
