📋 Description

• Provide underwriting support, counsel, and authorization to company personnel, agents, and customers for real estate title insurance commitments and policies • Underwrite the issuance of title insurance within delegated authority limits • Provide guidance on real estate settlement services • Act in the most senior capacity for the Region, providing leadership and guidance • Develop and maintain relationships with assigned agents, brokers, internal clients, and external clients to attract, develop, and retain profitable regional business • Review and approve draft underwriting standards and guidelines from subordinates • Communicate underwriting and real estate settlement services information from superiors to subordinates • Serve on state associations when called upon • Participate in underwriting initiatives related to product development • Analyze underwriter metrics to identify improvement areas and development opportunities • Engage in company culture emphasizing the 4 Cs, quality of work, and high performance

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrated practical experience with real estate title and settlement process concepts, practices, and procedures • Strong knowledge of Federal and State regulations related to real estate title insurance and settlement services • Ability to lead others in implementing programs and projects • Business acumen and strategic ability • Ability to develop others and influence change • Confidence, sound judgment, and decision-making ability • Ability to diagnose and analyze problems, drive appropriate solutions, and achieve desired results • Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure • Abstract thinking and creative problem-solving ability • Ability to think outside the box and make unique yet sound decisions for complex issues • Law Degree required • Admitted to practice in a state within the region • Proficiency with MS Office Suite • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbally and in writing • Adaptability to learn quickly, multitask, and retain business-domain information • Must successfully pass a criminal history background check • Preferred: experience creating and presenting educational and underwriting materials for employees and agents

🏖️ Benefits

• Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. • No travel is expected for this position • Comfortable indoor work facility • No unusual physical requirements or heavy lifting
