📋 Description

• Dispatch drivers to calls based on customer needs, driver locations and loads, and daily factors • Work with sites and the service department to optimize routes • Determine daily driver staffing levels to balance responsiveness and productivity • Assign routes and service tickets to drivers throughout the day and for the next day • Manage route actions and assure route completion • Handle incoming calls and emails from customer service and sales • Manage pickup and delivery requests for container movements within the market area • Communicate with customers while drivers are on-site and resolve service issues • Troubleshoot and resolve delivery and pickup problems • Ensure same-day service on missed pickups by managing routing and tracking driver movement • Communicate with WM drivers to assist with in-route problem resolution • Use WM proprietary software for same-day ticket routing and next-day route preparation • Interact with customer service, sales, Route Managers, mechanics, and other operational staff • Travel up to 15% may be required to work face-to-face with responsible site dispatchers

🎯 Requirements

• Must live within the Florida market area and within 50 miles of a WM site • Experience in dispatch, routing, or route optimization • High School Diploma or G.E.D. • 6 months of relevant work experience in a team setting • Ability to communicate effectively with several areas • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment • Excellent organizational skills • Strong communication and computer skills preferred • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred • Flexibility during operating hours • Ability to work Monday through Friday, with a 10:00 a.m. start time and 6:30 p.m. CST end time • Shifts may include overtime and Saturday hours depending on market-area needs • Must have or be willing to obtain a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative if required for air travel or federal-property access
