📋 Description

• Communicate back and forth with WM drivers to assist with problem resolution while on route for residential, commercial, and roll-off lines of business • Handle incoming service orders, direct drivers, and resolve service issues • Interact with WM customer service, sales, and operational staff, including Route Managers and Mechanics • Use WM proprietary software to manage same-day ticket routing and prepare routes for the next day • Dispatch drivers to calls based on customer needs, driver locations and loads, and daily factors balancing cost and customer satisfaction • Optimize routes with sites and the service department based on customer needs • Determine daily driver staffing levels to optimize responsiveness and productivity • Assign routes and service tickets to appropriate drivers throughout the day and for the next day • Manage route actions and assure route completion • Handle incoming calls and emails from customer service and sales departments • Manage requests for pickups or deliveries involving container movements within the market area • Communicate with customers while drivers are on-site to resolve pickup and other service issues • Troubleshoot and resolve potential delivery and pickup problems before they become service issues • Ensure same-day service on missed pickups by managing route assignments and tracking driver movement in the field • Work flexible shifts within 5am–7pm CT operating hours, with potential overtime and Saturday hours • Travel up to 15% may be required to work face-to-face with sites

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. • 6 months of relevant work experience with working in a team setting and the ability to communicate to several areas effectively • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment • Excellent organizational skills • Experience in dispatching, routing, and optimizing routes needed • Strong communication and computer skills preferred • Must have or be willing to obtain a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative if required for business air travel or federal-property access
