📋 Description

• Provide management support and project staff support and oversight for environmental and safety policies, programs, and processes • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety legal/regulatory requirements, hazardous waste and materials requirements, corporate programs, customer requirements, and ISO 14001/9001 procedures and operational controls • Manage EHS programs and information systems and create new programs or processes as needed • Provide on-site or off-site project staff guidance and support • Develop site-specific procedures and action plans • Conduct remote or on-site start-up, safety, environmental assessments, and ISO audits • Develop and track corrective/preventive actions through completion • Travel to customer sites to observe and assist with EHS programs and safety best practices • Manage EHS projects and programs, including DOT Driver Qualification files, ISO submittals, safety observations, OSHA metrics, medical monitoring, scorecards, recognition programs, rules books, DriveCam, vehicle compliance, and training events • Administer databases and software including CYCLE, Beacon Insights, EHS Portal, Excel, DISA, CA DMV, and SharePoint • Develop, maintain, and conduct EHS, OSHA, ISO, and EPA-required training • Evaluate environmental, DOT, and safety regulations and recommend compliance strategies • Provide guidance on safe and compliant waste management • Apply for and manage required permits • Manage incidents and injuries, including cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions • Manage customer-facing compliance databases • Assist other WM entities and lines of business with EHS expertise • Identify recurring problems and take appropriate action • Assist corporate personnel in meeting company and regulatory requirements at project locations • Advise management on problem resolution, EHS goals, and program improvements

🎯 Requirements

• B.S. in Science, Engineering, Safety, Environmental, or similar degree • 10+ years hands-on and programmatic Health & Safety/compliance experience • Some training experience • 5 years’ experience working within manufacturing and industrial operations • Must live and work in the U.S. • M.S. in safety or environmental management (preferred) • 10+ years environmental and safety experience (preferred)
