• Own a portfolio of State, Local, and Education (SLED) government and higher education accounts • Advise customers on connecting Workiva’s platform to sector-specific outcomes • Partner with the account executive across the full book to drive retention, adoption, and growth • Build account plans based on organizational structures, budget cycles, procurement processes, and strategic priorities • Cultivate relationships with department heads, finance officers, IT leaders, and elected or appointed officials • Identify platform growth opportunities, including grant tracking and transparency initiatives • Lead business reviews focused on audit readiness, compliance efficiency, reporting accuracy, and resource stewardship • Analyze product usage data and health signals and design targeted adoption interventions • Ask consultative questions, uncover workflow gaps, and build enablement plans • Identify expansion opportunities through whitespace analysis and provide qualified signals to the account executive • Provide renewal forecasts, flag risks, attach mitigation plans, and navigate budget-constrained commercial conversations • Engage senior government and education stakeholders on compliance risk, audit efficiency, constituent accountability, and mission impact • Prepare internal executive sponsors for high-stakes customer conversations • Analyze health trends, engagement signals, and relationship dynamics to identify risks • Own escalations from identification through resolution, coordinating across functions and keeping customers informed • Maintain accurate CRM records, including renewal timelines, stakeholder maps, health scores, risk flags, and engagement recaps • Share account patterns and SLED-specific insights with the team and account executive partners • Coordinate Solution Success, Product Success, Data Management, and Support engagement
• 6+ years in B2B SaaS Customer Success, Account Management, or Consulting, with experience managing government, higher education, or public sector accounts • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience • Willingness to travel up to 20% for team and corporate meetings • Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely • Experience retaining and growing multi-stakeholder accounts across multiple renewal cycles • Comfort navigating budget constraints and procurement processes • Familiarity with SLED purchasing vehicles, fiscal year dynamics, and the regulatory environment • Ability to build business cases for government buyers within public sector constraints • Ability to read adoption and health data and translate it into account narratives and action plans • Strong communication skills across organizational levels • Experience leading or coordinating cross-functional work without direct authority • CRM discipline • Ability to complete comprehensive security and privacy training
