📋 Description

• Obtain insurance information and referral forms • Counsel patients on financial assistance • Schedule and register patients by phone or email • Provide support for moderately complex situations • Serve as lead Billing Associate when needed, planning, organizing, directing, and assisting the scheduling team • Coordinate office functions and perform specialized/technical duties with minimal supervision • Serve as liaison between staff, patients, healthcare professionals, and the general public • Advocate for patients’ needs without patient contact • Monitor staff performance for quality care and compliance with practice standards • Monitor appointment scheduling, registration review, pre-arrival processes, and documentation • Triage patient phone calls, tasks, and emails with physicians or appropriate personnel • Assist with provider schedules, scheduling templates, and master schedules • Coordinate training, interoffice activities, schedules, programs, policy/procedure changes, and administrative needs • Coordinate staff vacations, schedules, coverage, timesheets, and accruals • Plan and carry out orientation and staff training/development • Order and monitor supplies, equipment, mail, and operational services • Serve as backup during peak times, vacations, and illnesses • Prepare custom reports • Participate in quality improvement activities • Perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience • 5 years of relevant experience • Computer Literacy • Data Entry • Epic EHR • Managed Care Operations • Medical Terminology • Telephone Communications • Ability to comply with OSHA, state and federal regulatory sources/standards • No specific certification/professional license is required • Driver's license is not required
